3. Personal Data in the Application Process
Personal data is information about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, address, telephone number, and date of birth, but also data about your specific career progression, etc., which can be attributed to a specific person with reasonable effort. Information not directly associated with your real identity is not personal data.
4. Legal Basis and Purposes for Processing Personal Data in Applications and the Application Process
If you apply to us electronically, i.e., by email or via our web form, we collect and process your personal data for the purpose of handling the application process and carrying out pre-contractual measures.
By submitting an application on our recruiting page, you express your interest in wanting to start employment with us. In this context, you provide us with personal data, which we use and store solely for the purpose of your job search/application.
In particular, the following data is collected:
● Name (first and last name)
● Email address
● Telephone number
● LinkedIn profile (optional)
● Channel through which you became aware of us
In addition, you have the opportunity to upload meaningful documents such as a cover letter, your CV, and references. These may contain further personal data such as date of birth, address, etc.
Only authorized employees from the HR department or employees involved in the application process have access to your data.
The storage of personal data is generally only for the purpose of filling the vacant position for which you have applied.
Your data will be stored for a period of 90 days beyond the end of the application process. This is usually done to fulfill legal obligations or to defend against possible claims from statutory provisions. Subsequently, we are obliged to delete or anonymize your data. In this case, the data is only available to us as so-called metadata without direct personal reference for statistical evaluations (for example, proportion of female/male applicants, number of applications per period, etc.).
In addition, we reserve the right to store your data for inclusion in our "Talent Pool" for 180 days after the end of the application process in order to identify any other interesting positions for you. This also applies, for example, to applications for a training or internship position. By accepting the privacy policy, you consent to the possible further storage of your data and inclusion in our "Talent Pool".
If you receive an offer for employment with us during the application process and accept it, we store the personal data collected during the application process at least for the duration of the employment relationship.
5. Transfer of Data to Third Parties
The data transmitted as part of your application are transferred via TLS encryption and stored in a database. This database is operated by Personio GmbH, which offers personnel administration and applicant management software (https://www.personio.de/impressum/). In this context, Personio is our processor according to Art. 28 GDPR. The basis for processing is a contract for order processing between us as the responsible body and Personio.
6. Rights of the Data Subject
If personal data is processed by us as the responsible body, you as the data subject have certain rights depending on the legal basis and purpose of the processing from Chapter III of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), possibly including the right to information (Art. 15 GDPR), the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), the right to deletion (Art. 17 GDPR), the right to restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR), the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and the right to object (Art. 21 GDPR). If the processing of personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to revoke this data protection consent under Art. 7 III GDPR.
To assert your rights as a data subject in relation to the data processed in this online application process, please contact our data protection officer (see item 2).
7. Final Provisions
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time to ensure it always meets current legal requirements or to reflect changes in the application process or similar. For a subsequent visit to this recruiting page or a new application, the new privacy policy then applies.
